Using a Philips screwdriver remove the four screws from the case. Using a flat head screwdriver gently pry the case open starting at the top. Once you have the back removed, disconnect the battery connector by gently pulling the black and red cable towards the battery.

A battery is simply a sealed unit that converts chemicals into electrical energy by the use of electrodes. An anode is positive and a cathode is negative. For the first 3 charge cycles you should charge your rechargeable battery until it is full, usually overnight, then use it until it is completely empty. This will condition your battery and therefore optimise its performance for the future. It is advisable to repeat this charge cycle 2 or 3 times for your rechargeable battery to reach it's maximum capacity.
