Today's mobile phone features like flash, GPS, email, internet etc have proved to be more and more of a drain on the life of your mobile phone battery.
Here are BatteryMill’s top 10 tips on how you can extend the life of your mobile phone battery between charges.
1. When you receive your brand new mobile phone give it a full overnight charge before using it. Try to use the entire battery capacity before giving it another full overnight re-charge. If you repeat this charge/discharge cycle a few times your mobile phone battery will reach it's maximum capacity.
2. Turn off the 3G feature. This is the biggest single drain on your mobile phone battery using almost 50% of it's capacity. If you do not use 3G, and most people do not, then turn it off.
3. Turn off bluetooth. This is another function that is switched on permanently on most mobile phones but rarely used.
4. Switch off the vibrate option. The vibrator in your phone is a tiny electric motor that will use up valuable battery power every time your mobile phone rings.
5. Turn the screen brightness down to its lowest setting.
6. Avoid using all the extra functions such as GPS and the camera. If you do use the camera turn off the flash.
7. Turn off the WiFi. This is another major and often unnecessary drain on the battery.
8. Turn off your phone when you are in areas of no reception such as underground railways.
9. Occasionally (at least once a month) let your battery completely discharge before recharging it. This helps condition the battery.
10. Buy a spare battery from www.BatteryMill.com. You can charge up the spare and take it with you for double the battery life.
