Casio Exilim Camera Battery Takes 1000 Pictures Between Charges. The Newest Casio Exilim camera has a battery which Casio say will take 1000 pictures between charges. This is no casual claim either since it has been authenticated against an industry standard test in Japan which is designed to closely mimic real life conditions using all of the camera major functions such as the flash and the zoom just the same as the average user might do on their holiday. Talking of holidays the camera battery should last the entire trip on the same single charge. A typical user would be able to take 70 pictures a day for their entire two week trip. Although this is not the first digital camera to offer a battery capable of shooting 1000 photographs it is one of the only compacts to offer this sort of battery life. Most other 1000 picture cameras were digital SLRs which are a lot bigger and therefore can accommodate a much larger camera battery. The camera is perfect for the casual holiday photographer too with a very wide 24mm lens. It also has a 12 megapixel chip and can record 720p video at 24FPS which also makes it perfect for shooting videos to show your friends and family. The camera has been launched in Japan and Casio are going to announce its launch in other regions soon. It will be priced at roughly £250.
